Contact

Scripture & Record is written and edited by one person, and every message is read by that person. The address below is the only one; there is no contact form, no ticketing system and no autoresponder.

Corrections come first

If something here is wrong — a date, a citation, a locus, a reading of a source — write with the page and the specific claim. Corrections are published with a date on the corrections page and are never edited in silently. A reported error is prioritised over every other kind of message.

Suggest a case

To propose a passage or an episode for a dossier, write with the reference and, if you have one, the external record you think bears on it — an inscription, a chronicle, an excavation report. Suggestions that name a source are far more likely to be taken up than suggestions that name a conclusion.

Permissions, quotation and reuse

For quotation beyond fair dealing, syndication, translation, or use in teaching materials, write with the intended use. Classroom use of the printable quizzes needs no permission and never will.

Advertising and commercial enquiries

Display advertising on this site is served through Google AdSense and is not sold directly. Editorial coverage is not for sale in any form: no dossier, verdict, edition review or reading plan has ever been paid for, and none will be. Affiliate relationships, where they exist, are disclosed above the link on the page itself.

Response time

Most messages are answered within five working days. Archive work is slow and correspondence sometimes waits behind it; a message that has gone unanswered for two weeks has been lost rather than ignored, and is worth sending again.

Scripture & Record is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with any church, denomination, university, museum or publisher, and no institution named in a dossier has any editorial involvement in it.
