A clay tablet of the Babylonian Chronicle series recording the years 616–609 BCE, including the campaign against Nineveh. It is the principal external witness to the fall of the Assyrian capital, and it is the reason a dossier on Nahum can be written at all: without an independent record of the event, there would be nothing to set the text against.
